Default And then the STORM hit !!!

I just had a 44 M P H wind gust on the gage and the snow is coming down so hard I can't see the end of the driveway. Right out of the north east. This is the kind if stuff that sunk the Edmond Fitzgerald !!

We need to remember our friends down under they are being ravaged by a typhoon with 200mph winds. Hope all will be ok.

44 mph!! I think you will be lucky compared to the Queensland people for they are expecting. If that happens as expected, a lot of people will lose their homes.

Hope all works out ok for Aus members. As far as the snow is concerned nothing as of yet here but the warnings are ominous. I will still get up at 3:30am and make my 90 mile commute. Not much stops me but if visability is as bad as our stateside members are saying then I'll be pulling into a parking lot and having a snooze until daylight

Local news predicts 15 to 20 foot waves on the great lakes 60 MPH wind gusts too! I wouldn't want to be out there on a ship tonight!

I have a 6 ft drift out by the road now, at 2:30 it was just 1 1/2 ft. and we are going to get more. I think I will stay home.

It is 44 here right now and no wind. It was windy and in the 30`s all day. Supposed to be in the 20`s tomorrow and then warm up the next few days. We were supposed get it but luckily it went to the North of us. I hope everyone is OK out there. M&WJoe

I never thought seeing 40 degrees would seem so inviting. We are getting ice here in Pa. Hope you all that are getting lots of snow and wind weather through it.

I normally chuckle at all the misfortunes of the guys "up north" but it is 22 degrees with a 20 mph wind down here right now, supposed to go down another 8-10 degrees before daylight. It is not supposed to be this cold here! I may have to start hauling my iron south...AFTER it warms up a bit

I feel guilty for living in sunny Northern California, we are expecting 70 degree weather this weekend! I only wish the best to everyone suffering the global warming on the East Coast.

It's been snowing heavely since 1:00 this afternoon with high wind gusts. Oh yea it thundered and lightinged for about two hours too. They say we could get 24" before it's over. I'll have a big job tomorrow clearing the walks at the bank where I work part time. Larry in cold windy Marseilles

Live just off Lake Michigan. Sounds about like the freight train at the end of the road that takes coal up to Milwaukee electric plants. Most of the roads are blown shut. Glad I can work from home tomorrow.
