Question Sniffer valve data for model gas engines

I would like to try a sniffer valve for on a Model 4 cylinder Holt gas engine. Has anyone tried this & how did it work? I have plans for a sniffer valve that uses a diaphragm from a big carb. Need more information on how to do all needed attachments...ect ! Thanks in advance. Capt

I see this is a old post, but yes a demand regulator with bottle propane works just as well on throttle governed engines as it does with H&M engine. I have used them on 1, 2, & 4 cylinder model gas engines. In fact, I prefer propane fuel to gasoline or camp liquid fuels as it is inherently safer and has less odor, but it still sets off the CO monitor after awhile. My demand regulator was built from Jerry Howell plans using a Tecumseh gas engine carb diaphragm.
