Default Lister 4kw onan adapted to Lister

I have a Lister SR1 with Winpower 4kw head.

I don't expect the 1969 head to last forever and since few options are available at any price!

I got to thinking , yeah its dangerous, Has anybody adapted the common 4kw 1800 rpm onan head to one of these jewels?

Power speed and rotation is no issue so fitting is.

Any ideals, opinions or experiences?

Thanks
IWT

i have seen on you tube a fellow running his generator head with a Lister diesel and it was doing a good job. you could probably do a search on you tube and find some things to help you with your question. type in Lister powered gen head and it should bring up some videos.

a not overloaded WINPOWER 4 KW (NOT HAPPENING WITH SR1)can certainly outlast
any onan cck or bga, with better voltage regulation,i think!

It came from the factory SR1/4kw winpower.

I am told it will do 3.5kw all day long, it is a 6hp diesel.

Still the question is has anybody swapped available onan 4kw head onto a Lister.
Looking for ideals,incite and cautions.
