Default The Bessemer Gas Engine

Here is some pictures of the last known working and producing oil well that is still pumped weekly with a Bessemer Gas Engine like it has been for over a Century when I was a young fellow back in the 70,s I had 32 oil wells weekly I would start and pump oil with these wonderful engines this one in the picture is the last still working one I know of all the rest had been salvaged Sad to say at one time in my area there were over 400 gas and oil wells that were pumped with these Gas engines and man one hollow had 23 oil wells up in it and now let me tell you when we would get those all fired up and running it sure did echo that hollow but now I lend an ear and it is quite and still, Sad but I wish I was back there again young and kick starting all those engines just wanted to share my story
