Default MEP 70 A 3KW Genset

Does anyone have any experience with this MEP 70 AGenSet? Any manuals? Suggested resale price? Any hands on experience? Suggestions or information. Anything would be greatly appreciated.

The Tag clearly states MEP 70 A
But it is a diesel 3 KW Genset

After closer inspection of the palte, it is possible that it does say 701A. If so, and likely so, what is the value untested, no battery?

Ebay seems to have one in the $1000---$1500 range but I have no idea how many get sold. I was watching auctions on GL for a while, seems like they were common for a while at $400-$800 range.
I still have two, one Yanmar powered (mep 016-e) and one Onan powered (mep 701-a). I had them for sale locally for a while, too expensive for the average person to want to deal with.
I rely on forums like this one and "SS" for help learning to use them and general maintenance issues.
I hope this helps !

Manuals are free online from several different sources but I have not been able to find a hard copy. Parts are expensive and some not available any longer.
The 4hn battery is expensive and not available just anywhere. There is a two-12 volt battery setup that is available and affordable.
I like this generator ! But I admit there has been a lot to learn.

I don't seem to be able to find an operation manual. Do you happen to have a link to a operation manual?

Not sure if this is the one you're looking for.

To me as a buyer "untested" means (A) "this set needs substantial repairs, but I'm trying to avoid saying so" OR (B) "I have been trying to get this @#$%^ thing to run and have given up".

With that in mind, a set that cannot be demonstrated running and making power (or with a written warranty that it will do so) is worth little if any more than scrap value to me. Right now, that is about $60-100 for your set in my community; if your motive is profit, you should get it into running/working condition if possible.
