Default What is this tool for?

I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, since I can't figure out what this is!

It has small inserts of different designs that fit the three holes. One thumbwheel moves the two holes closer together or further apart. The handle rotates to move the third hole closer or further from the other two...

It's about six inches long...

It is for taking the back off of threaded wrist watches.
