I would like the guys in the room to look up this guy.
And look what he is doing with generators and motors
I think he has something. Please look at it with a open mind.
His name is Thane Heins and I have been messing with his ideas and thay do work. Let me honestly know what you think.
Google his name and look at what he does on YouTube. TYVM

Some pretty interesting stuff. I didn't have time to watch all the videos on youtube, but I will. Google his name, and some really good articles about electrical power making come up. Great post chainsaw.

I took a 3 HP ind motor 120/240 V 1750 RPM and put the wheel on it like TH did.
On the wheel I put 9 rare earth permanant magnets 1 and 1/2 by 1/2.
I wound up the high and low Volt coils and used old transformer iron in the center.
Low volt coils I used a car tail light bulb for the load.
High volt coils I used a 100 watt bulb.
I fired it using a 20 amp variac 140 volt max.
No load i got 1750 rpms.
Low volt load on it slowed down.
High volt load on it speeded up and I thought it was going to explode.
No more 1750 rpms at all.
I did not test the speed but we all know what hauling ass is but my guess is 5000 rpms
Yes I said at least 5000 RPMS. And Im very good at guessing. TY for looking.

OK. Looked at it. Wasn't impressed. What do you think he's trying to show us?

I asked people here to look at this.
It is back or reverse EMF that is wasted.
If MIT can look at this so can everyone elce here.
Keep a open mind .
This is something that tesla was working on.
As far as I can see it tesla was the one that gave us (AC).
uuuumm the generators and motors we are using now.
I dont see something or read something and say it is true.
I test it myself......
In the test I did I put a load on the motor.
But when I put a load on the motor the amps droped the RPMs went up and the voltage stayed the same.
Now when I put a load on everything elce I own the curent goes up.
Now I think that is something to look at. TY

I did not read the whole thing BUT I forwarded it to the Family Doctor, My little Brother who has a PHD in Physics. He noticed that there has been no comment on the video for two years. He called it a dead thread and he had not heard anything about this guy. ONE showing IS NOT a peer review.
One thing that bothers me about the video is, WHY is he having to spin his contraption up by hand? Why does he not use the motor on the left hand side of it?

oh and he is spinning it up by hand becouse it will cog when the magnets go past the iron for the coils.
But when it gets to speed that goes away.
Also you realy get better reading if you only give 90 volts.
Thats why I used the variac for the test I did.
There are 7 youtube vids that I know.
You realy need to see them all to get the jist of this thing.

Default I want the room to look at this. This is no B/S.

there is no free lunch any where
[unless there is a geo thermal steam vent in your back yard]

as I recall from a 9th grade [1960] counter EMF demo with an inductor, a 12 volt lamp, and a neon lamp; only when the 12V lamp was disconnected did the counter EMF pulse from the collapsing field fire the neon lamp.

high voltage
low current

don't count on usefull power

there is always someone demo-ing getting electricity from tap water
and dissimilar metals enough to run a lcd clock.

magnets for your gas line any one?

run your car on carbide with an old preasure cooker and an innertube?

when chasing rainbows remember
tesla died alone and broke

No comment..... but just because the guy stumped some Janitor from MIT, doesn't mean Diddly Squat... Thermal Dynamic Laws are very well understood, and have been around since Newton.... No one has disproved them, or even dented them, Yet..... Just Say'en.....

I have talked to people about this that are from the room but we did not talk in the room.
Thane Heins is now doing work for NASA.
Yes and Tesla did die poor and by himself.
But guess what?
You have electric power out of your jenny and I think that tesla has just about all the rights to about every component in your genny except a IC board. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
As the saying goes.
If you cant change your mind you cant change anything!!!!!!

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Most new ideas don't work but then once in a while one gets hit out of the park. Look at the snuggie
Really, spend all the time you want on your pet projects. You never know when or where the next big break through will come from.
This may not be it but if it makes you think of ideas to try good for you.
Just my 2 cents.

There are induction motors that are better than 70% efficient... Come back and wake us all up, when he gets better than 110% efficient....

Grape you said it.
I asked the room to look at this with a open mind... that was it.
I think that MIT janitor bit was pissy.... sorry their was a dead fly in your coffee.
We are (ALL) in this room for the same exact thing, Motors and Generators.
That is to learn something and if you think you know everything lol why are you here?
I have the bug just like the rest of the room.
My girlfriend thinks Im nuts but she knows that everything I have works.
I need to get that head back on her BMW I dont know why she is complaining.
When the power goes out the house lights up and the people next door ask if thay may have some electric becouse thay have none.... lol
And the people in this room that say you cant get something for nothing you are very right as the laws go now.
I am a Retired USN machinist and electrical engineer.
I was the head of all the USN Machinist on the refit of The BB-63 Yes the battle ship.
Why did I join the Navy?... I like to fix broken things.
I just dont understand why all the flak becouse someone has a idea?.
Just asked people to look with a open mind.
I have 281 acers of land with no grid power So I have solar, wind and microhydro power. and my G/F asks why I have to get that extra 5 amps out of this tiny spring we have the hydro plant on. I tell her that it was 5 amps we did not have. and then I ask her if she likes the air con to run.
She does not like to burn up in the summer. lol

Sorry my mistake.
In a post I did a long time back here I was building a micro hydro plant.
I was thinking about using a ind motor as a generator.
Some one in the room turned me on to this guy by the name of (Fowler)
He was a retired engineer from one of the big hydro plants
He had a ind motor think it was 100 HP strait to the grid and he had a pelton water turbine as prime mover.
We talked on the phone for about a hour to go over this but I do not have grid power so I built a PMA (DC)
Alternator.
He was I think up in age and a very nice guy very helpfull.
If he looks at this and says this is bunk I will shut up..
He was the sharpest I have ever seen.
This is what I want him to look at.> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fq_yGELmhV4

By the way, this is NOT a room. It is a board as in bulletin board. We do have chat rooms, but this is not one of them.

I modify the thread titles as I do hundreds of times each day. Usually by correcting spelling, expanding abbreviations and adding capital letters where appropriate. Sometimes the titles need an extra boost (Free Energy) to help the readers to avoid needless clicks or to draw them in when appropriate.

All this helps Google and others to index our site properly. FM by itself means nothing. Fairbanks Morse means a whole lot.

It was I who photographed Mr. Fowler during a tour of the plant that he gave me. Unfortunately, Mr. Fowler passed away last year and we all lost a world of knowledge with him. That's the hydro driven motor that he wired into a generator.
