Photo New Year Start Up

Well the new year is almost upon us. Is anyone planning on running an engine to bring in the new year? I've done it a few times and was thinking since it's going to be in the 40's I might fire a few up.

Here is a video from a couple of years ago.

Thumbs up Re: New Year Start Up

I usually try to start one up at 12AM sharp after all the hugging, kissing, and fondeling. Hopefully will have my new NOVO ready and maybe a Domestic, Economy, Mietz&Weiss, etc. Don`t have a video camera yet. Happy New Year!! M&WJoe

I plan on firing something up. The fireworks should hide the noise

Here in Saint Ignace, which is North of the 45th parallel.......I've read several times now that it's appropriate to fire up an engine on January 1st. Hmmm...

I think we're all a bit reluctant to flood these old engines with fuel and make them operate when they are just resting quietly after years of hard work.

BUT, you have inspired me to drag out my 7 UA Thermoil and bring her to life and run the kerosene out of the tank on just that occasion...... I just realized that I forgot to drain the tank !!!

Thank You All, and THANK YOU HARRY

Bruce

I may start the Novo CW I have been working on, but I think it will be New Years( Mid Day)Day, not early morning.
