Default Ken Meeks passed away July 1, 2015

It is with great sadness that I share the following with fellow gas engine and tractor collectors. Ken Meeks was admitted to the hospital this past week suffering from a severe stroke. The doctors have not given Ken a good prognosis and it appears he may not get out of the hospital.

Pauline, Ken’s loving wife, has asked that I filter this information down through Ken’s clients and friends. I will give you any additional information I may receive about Ken’s health. Please keep Ken and Pauline in your prayers. Mark Kinzie

God is Ken's co pilot. I have faith that Ken's path shall be as God plans. That is what Ken would pray for. God Speed Kenny Meeks. God is with you.

I had a mild stroke last July. So I have some idea what Ken is going through. Been a year and I am still adjusting to it. Hope Ken comes through ok and gets back to what he loves doing. I will keep Ken and Pauline in my prayers.

I met Ken just last year , and he helped me get a clutch shaft for my Fairbanks from the US.
We talked many times and he is a great guy full of good values in life.
He came to Lang Pioneer Village Smoke and Steam show on fathers day , and we had a great visit at the picnic table among all the running engines. Ken visited with many of the engine and tractor guys, and had a great afternoon!
Prayers for Ken and his family.

Ken spent some time under my umbrella in the shade at the Kawartha Antique and Power Show last Sunday, he seemed well at the time.

Years ago I bought a mixer of him, I was a bit short on money. don't worry about he said, just send me a cheque when you get home.

Pauline informed Linda Starkey yesterday that Ken Meeks has passed away. Apparently the information in post #1 was quite accurate as it was a severe stroke. Life is short, but Ken is most certainly at peace with his maker.

It is very sad to hear about Ken's passing. I saw him a few weeks back at Mark Kinzie's but didn't get a chance to chat with him as it came up a hard rain and I had to leave.
As long as I have been going to shows (35 years or so), I am sure Ken has been there too. His site was often the first place to visit and I bought a fair number of parts off him over the years. Back years ago, he had that old Winnibago and it was amazing to see how many magnetos, carbureters and other items he could stow in the compartments on that thing! My uncle tells of being on a trip to Nova Scotia years ago and saw an old Winnibago coming at him and joked to my aunt that it looked like something Ken would drive. Sure enough, as they passed, it was Ken! Returning from a buying trip no doubt.
After Ken's unpleasantness with the customs people, we got to see him more at Ontario shows in the last couple of years. I had some nice chats with him last year and he was doing very well. My how things do change.
Best wishes to Ken's family at this time. Ken, may you rest in Eternal Peace.
Rick Mannen.

Default Ken Meeks

It is with great sadness that I write to advise that Ken passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon with family by his side. A graveside service is scheduled as follows: Rosemount Memorial Gardens, 2551 Whittington Dr., Peterborough, ON. (705) 742-3242. The service will commence at 11:00 am and light refreshments will follow.
