Defiantly a Nelson Brothers engine. With all the information I've found I think nelson brothers were making the power king line for Gray starting in about 1918 and continuing production of their engines possibly till 1920 when the get out of the Stationary Farm engines. I've hot a 1.5 hp nelson brothers tagged Gray Power king, And I've seen another Nelson with just a standard Gray tag.

The first engine in the line up is my nelson built PowerKing engine. Only pic I could find of it. On the Gray website there is a few on there and there is a few on the Gray Facebook page as well if you want to take a look. Original color should be a dark red color. I Did just mix my own paint on my 6hp Gray as close as I could to the original that was under the crankshaft key cover using Rust-o-leum Sunrise red mixed with 5oz of Black.

Current Gray website - http://www.grayhitandmiss.com/nelson.html
I haven't completed the new site yet.
