Hi Chris,
The Napoleon sleigh has turned out beautifully! Also, the pictures of your sleigh exhibit are very nice. You have put a terrific collection together in a very short time, and have it set up well.
Congratulations!
Bob

Thanks Al and Bob,

Wel 5 years ago there was an world going open for me that i came to know that the old Holland was once the nr. 1 horse sleigh country in the World.

I only knew about the tikkers but never knew about all the exotical ones.
I have read very old reports that there where horse sleigh contest in 1929 that they left with 3 horse sleighs early in the morning on the west of the Zuidersea (what now know as the Ijselmeer) they became in an huge snowstorm and went lost for hours.
On the end of the day they still reached the other side of the Zuidersea.
There was so much exiting that they all made it that they let the church bells ring from all the churches in town.

Also dit another huge discovery that there is difference betwean Ice horse Sleighs and Snow Horse Sleighs.
The Ice Snow sleighs have ice breakes on there rear this is not with the snow models.
Now most of the sleighs that we found are Ice sleighs but there is one that is an Snow Sleigh.
This horse sleigh is having an high feetplank for the moles holes that they woult not damage the feet plank where the stagecoach driver sits...

Doing this alone in Holland and it seems to me that the horse people gladly sleeping not knowing what we find everytime.
This is also why i do not post this in Europe.

The wrekages there are the biggest treasures in hidding and know there are some more out there somewhere hidding on an old shet or attick.
Wil keep hunting for them.
We never found one on the internet for sale exept the first Pony sleigh 5 years ago.
So it is difficult search for them but know they are still out there somewhere.

I went back this evening and took pictures of all the bow statues of the French line.

Picture 2 the Louis XVI ramshead.

Picture 3 the Louis XV Seachild mermaid hold the star globe child.

Picture 4 the Empire Napoleon eternal flame vase.

Watch and enjoy....

Next the images that we are going to place behind the French line in the future to date them towards there own time they where design and made.

Chris,
As I wrote you personally, in centuries to come your work of restoration will allow the world to see the beauty and history of a small slice of Holland in its glorious Golden Age.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
God bless.

Thanks Mike that is very kind....

I wil try to pull the most beautiful ones out everytime an bring them all towards Smokstak so that you all can see how they look and how the restauration ends.

Like i told you on Email the last developments.
At the moment we are focused on an super rare and ancient leather goat harnas sleigh bell set.
I have seen it already and became very exited when i saw it because there is an difference betwean an horse/pony leather horsesleigh bell set towards an goatsleigh bell set.
The first thing is that the set is extreamly smal but the most exiting thing is that it does not have the 2 blumes on both sides of the bells on top.
The thing with goats is that the goat wil try to eat the plumes....
So this is why sleigh goat harnas set never had plumes on top of the goat.

Sure that this set is on his way towards Smokstak to have an look.

The Paintings behind the French horse sleigh line up,

I told every body that the future is of the French line horse sleighs to place behind every model sleigh an French king or leader to date the sleigh towards there own time.

These wil be huge copy paintings from the Napoleon room in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and the Versailles in Paris.
An year ago i realy was in the Napoleon room in Amsterdam and notice the original pistol with hand pistols from Napoleon his carriage that he lost during the battle at Waterloo.

There where also 2 huge master paintings from Napoleon Bonaparte and Louis Napoleon the first king of Holland.

Now it woult be nice to have two execly the same copy’s from both paintings with wooden picture frames behind the Empire Napoleon sleigh.

This gos also for the other 2 sleighs the Versailles Louis the 15 sleigh and the Louis the 16 Ramshead sleigh.
I can place Louis the 15 behind the Versalles sleigh but i woult place Marie Antoinette behind the Louis the 16 sleigh because Marie Antoinette was the one that once arranged the old horse sleigh games arround the Versalles and she was the woman of Louis the 16.

Here i have the pictures of all of these master paintings from the Rijksmuseum at Amsterdam and the Versalles at Paris.
Not far from us there is an company that can make these images in realy huge same copy sizes (2 meter/7 feet high).
It woult be nices to have all these paintings behind every French model sleigh where they are belong to in the time they where design buld and made.

And it woult be nice to use these painting in the future to show the French line on an exhibition.

I think it is quite amazing that those sleighs have been kept in storage for so long, and the restorations are FABULOUS! You will be needing more ponies soon
