Thanks Craig, that was a good laugh.
I don't know how anyone ever thought that three wheels could be good for anything. Look at the old three wheeled ATV'S, golf carts, and even some of the old steel wheel tractors.

I dunno about the UK but in America you can register a 3 wheeler as a motorcycle, so there is incentive. Not enough for us Americans tho lol. About the only thing I've seen registered that way are old 3 wheeler cushmans.

steve- had 3 friends killed on those stupid 3 wheel atv's bad bad idea.

peg- as a harley rider i will take 2 wheels over those trikes any day. they are REALLY making a huge comeback. friend of mine, (about 70 YO) just spent about 30,000 on one and put another 5G's of extras on it.

at least the Can Am has 2 wheels in the front.

That thing needs training wheels, or some outriggers in front. Now i need to change my pants, too funny.

Several years ago I had three of the "Scat-Trac" three wheelers marketed by J.C. Penney stores. Could get them cheap as they had finicky adjustable centrifugal clutches coupled to an 8hp Briggs engine. New internal friction shoes took right good care of the problem. Real runners for their day and were quite dangerous to the inexperienced rider but certainly a lot of cheap fun to those of us whom were responsible for our own actions.

I stuck a Honda CB-750 engine on mine and really was a lot of fun but couldn't keep the front wheel planted.....

There was a chinese mfr selling "dealerships" in the US for a 3 wheeled turd like that a few years ago, had to talk my brother out of that investment. I've seen a few of them on youtube, they all showed some roll-over damage.

Here is one, the Wildfire!

Placing the two wheels on the front is a lot more stable. Check out the Polaris Slingshot. It is a cross between a car and a motor cycle. I had one parked next to me a couple of weeks ago. Ron

Not quite as cool as the old Davis 3 wheelers from 1947-1948 but after watching that video, somehow I want one (though I'd have to add a pair of pneumatic cylinders to the roof so I could push a button and roll it back on its wheels.

Didn't realize till I went looking for these pictures that in TWO Years of production Davis only built a Total of 13 cars.

The 3 wheeled Morgan was a Much Better car with 2 wheels in front.

Not sure if they're still in business or if someone else started building modern replicas of them, but they are out there, new and old.

We used to have one at our Threshing Show every year back in the 1970s.
