Default 2015 Meet at Mt Pleasant

Hi,

Thinking about attending.

A few questions that I have are..

Is there a stationary boiler available for whistle blows?

My girlfriend's uncle passed away and his son wants to blow his whistle. I'd like to blow mine as well. Both are steam locomotive whistles.

If no stationary boilers available, is there a way to get our whistle(s) blown?

Also, is there a swap meet area? I'd like to attend such a meet..

Looking forward to hearing feedback!

There is a stationary boiler. Also many steam traction engines with many good people! I am sure some one would be glad to help you.
Worked with a Jim Walsh many years ago in St Louis.
Great guy.

Mike come up and bring your whistles the stationary steam guys have always been good to work with. Maybe a noon toot and an encore to boot!!!! (sorry). Yes there is a vendor area and a large trading post as well as a few flea markets set up around town. If your a newbie to the show you wont see it in one day and I don't honestly think you can see it all in five days. kp

Well, that's a bummer. I didn't see these posts until after visiting my friend who has them for the time being (one of the whistles is running on a 140psi boiler, the other hasn't been blown yet). Maybe next year... But if I can, I'll go up on this Labor Day.

Look me up in the Stationary Steam Power House. We will inspect the whistles and if it's in good shape we can see about mounting it on the tower for a blow.

We will have steam up Apr.30 through Sept. 4th.

I helped build part of the tower for the stationary steam several years ago.
