Default 1888 Westinghouse-Shallenberger Ampere Hour Meter

Found this at Portland Show this summer and was quite pleased at the asking price and it was not a "DUPE"..

Default Re: Watthour Meter Collectors?

Nice! That's actually beyond the end of the S/N range I have written down for the Shallenberger amp-hour, meaning this was one of the last of this model to roll off the production line, just as Westinghouse was getting under way with production of the Round Type model. (I have had other examples of overlapping S/Ns in my collection, such as a GE I-14 with S/N in the 13 million range and a GE I-16 with S/N in the 12 million range.)

The only hiccup I see is that the two wooden mounting bars seem to be absent from the unit?
