Default Fairbanks Morse Light Plant

I have a 1928 Fairbanks Morse Model H Light Plant, like pictured in FM history book. It is a 750 Watt,115 volt model. I have ran it, but has been about ten years. I was just wondering how many Model H Light Plants are around. I don't get to many shows, but I never hear anything about them. Thanks. Dan.

I've had this one about 15 years, 750W. Runs pretty good.

Here are a couple pages of literature, I really like the cutaway of this unusual design. I saw a 1500W some years ago, nice original condition, but not for sale.
These gensets have a cute little removable gasoline starting tank that sets over the kero filler plug, and has a neat engaging system, sorry no picture of that.

GUS

Edit, put the wrong picture in place of my unit, but it looks pretty much the same.

I have a pair of the 750's I am in the process of restoring now. I believe with the two plants I will have enough parts to build one running plant. Disassembly was a learning experience because they use a very compact and unique design. Nothing like any other Fairbanks- Morse products of the time. But I can see where some of the design for the famous little FM "Z" type "D". salt block engines came from.
