Default cushman binder

Just got my first cushman. Now I need to know if all the cushman binder engines have oilers on them? Mine has a plug where the oiler should go.

Scott, as far as I know all the binder engines had oilers. My 8 hp. has one about 4in. diameter. The oil level in the crank case is maintained by the oiler. There should be a small sight glass on the back side of the crank case that shows the oil level. If there is too much oil, it will smoke and foul plugs. {Learned the hard way} If the oil is over 12 up in the glass, that is good!

Scott When I got my binder engine it had never been started. It has the oiler hole pluged at the factory and painted over. It is a newer one with the tillotson carb. may be they stoped the oilers on newer ones to save money. Kevin
