Default Someone here buy this? Lenoir? Otto?

This was on Ebay a while back. Interesting looking engine. I am a last minute bidder but this one got out of my price range with about a hour to go. Anyone here buy it or know more about it? Would like to see it run.

James

It is a Planck engine built in Germany as a semi toy/real engine around 1900 give or take 10 years. I have seen two sizes, this one being the larger. My father & I built patterns from a large size original some years ago & cast everything from iron instead of sheet metal like the original & added another flywheel. It runs well on acetylene & with that odd rocking valve motion is quite an eye catcher. The pix is mine. Fred

Thanks for the info Fred. Any chance you have a video of yours running? That is a great looking piece.

James
