Leonard, thanks for posting the auction results. All prices agree with what I had written.

I have been having trouble posting tonight. It is probably just me....Helen

It was a terrific auction! The auction was well planned and organized by the auctioneers. Of course, quality engines were being sold also!!!!
John will be able to fill Blaine's shoes quite well.

I wish I was there to grab that Briggs PB for 95 bucks and that maytag vertical for 375. No 60,000 dollar engines but some big money was spent though just by checking out these prices alot of deep pocketed engine collectors are out there I guess, well I know what I would buy if I won the lottery

Leonard: THANKS for the engine prices. I stayed home with the grandkids and had lot's of fun in NJ, and it didn't cost much. Good thing I did. Now if I can keep them away from my IHC pumper engine with the pump in the manual mode .

If my math is correct the engines sold for a grand total of $178,175. Unfortunately I suspect most of the proceeds will go to pay for cancer treatment.

The auctioneers told us that Mr. McCleary had surgery last Friday, he was up walking around the hospital by Sunday. Let's hope the doctors got all of the tumor.

Don,
I'm fairly certain it was bought by Jeff Parks of N.Y. Hope this helps.

Don't know. But wondering how well known you are. WE're looking for a spokesperson
for our tractors.

Do you have references? or other contacts?

You may recall that Bill had brain surgery just prior to this auction. As recently as two weeks ago he were told that he was recuperating quite well. Just heard this evening that he has died. His obituary can be seen at:

Helen: Thanks for the previous post. I knew Bill and Diane from the many shows I attended and always spent a few moments with Bill and Diane when I saw them. He will be missed. You know, life is sometimes just to short and no one knows when it will end. We all need to just take a few moments to reflect on our lives, and always take time to talk, and be with friends and family as much as possible. Paul

Paul, too often we hear weeks or months after the fact, then we feel it is too late to express our sympathy.

And to everyone else:
I'm sure Dianne and family would be pleased to receive notes from their engine friends. They were usually at Portland, Jacktown, Coolspring, Kinzers, & Windsor plus many other shows every year. Dianne used to content herself doing pencil drawings, she was quite good!...Helen
