Default PDF Files?

Is it possible to lift an image or part of a pdf file? I drag the cursor around it and right click. It says copy to "Clipboard" which I have tried. But where the hell is the Clipboard? Have never been able to find it!
Is it possible to print a single page?
Thanx for any help,
