You'll have to check with the old boy.
Maybe he's got something he can part with...

Why is it that people call it coolsprings? It is coolspring, PA. I have nothing against it but I always called it coolspring.

Good Point Sean
When I call it by it's full name it's Coolspring Power Museum
but when we shorten it it's "Coolsprings"

Weird...

And that has caused more than one person grief according to posts in years past. Those people go to Google Maps or wherever and search for "Coolsprings" and end up in many places, none of which has a Power Museum. Maybe I'm weird, but I believe in calling a place (or person) by the correct name. It's respectful and eliminates ambiguity. There is no "s" at the end of Coolspring.

Tell me about it! Many years ago I went for the first time. I looked on a PA map and followed a logical route to Coolsprings. I went down the New York Thruway to 79 and headed south almost to 80. Seems there is another town similar in name and everyone thought I was crazy when I stopped at a diner and asked where the museum was. I drove around and saw a house with old equipment around it and luckily there was a person there that pointed me in the right direction. It made for an awful horse shoe loop in my trip but I did find it eventually. Now I take all kinds of short cuts through the hills and really enjoy the trip. Maybe I'll see you there if I can get off work. I'm looking forward to retirement in a few years so work wont be an issue. One thing for sure, that creek that goes by the grounds sure is cold on a hot summer day. I took a swim in it one time and it was cause for shrinkage.

I just put my truck in gear, kick back and head East. It knows where its going by heart. It wakes me up when it gets there.

Remember we had a Lend Lease program with the Brit's. It long past due that there is one going the other way. They should lease us the Anson Museum for a couple of years.
