Default Need you gurus to work your magic

A guy I know has come across an old (ok, antique) Generac generator/welder.
I've been a Generac tech for 14 years, but this thing is older than me.
Model 8631-0, S/N 0707665, 10kW, single phase, 60 Hz.

The only thing I have been able to come up with on this is that it has a 1L, IHI Shibaura 2 cylinder diesel engine.

Does anybody have anything on this this old pile of iron? Operator, parts or service manuals? Wiring diagrams/schematics? Anything at all?

Any possibility that any parts are still available? We are kind of toying with the idea of getting it running again.

Thanks
Hank

Might give this link a try. Might also check with Perkins. Apparently they had a cross supply agreement in the past.

I have delt with Generac for 30 years. Never saw anything like that. May be a one year only production run.

I am with Billy on that one but Generac did make quite a few different welders. I have been out of town and will check the ole partsmart system when I get to the office in the morning. Cross your fingers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Seems odd they are calling it a 10 kw! In the early 90's they made a 8kw genset with the same brand engine. I was thinking that has a 3 banger in it. I will check that also, have the unit still in the wharehouse new in shipping crate never sold. Never was impressed with it either. had about 10 of them in service over the years

I've only got 14 years in them, but have seen a lot. Just nothing like this.
By the way, sorry I didn't have time to hook up with you when I was down in the Lone Star earlier. We had a great hunt, and didn't want to waste any time.

Checked old partsmart yesterday. Model number did not pop in system. Several other welders but none even close to your unit. I will try some other sources when I get a moment.
