Default Case model L - freeing the engine with vinegar?

Hey folks. I just purchased my first antique tractor, a 1929 Case model L. The engine is seized. I don’t know how bad yet because I haven’t drug it home yet. I want your option on freeeing the engine using vinegar. I had really good luck using vinegar to free cockshutt 770 diesel. What are the pistons and ring made of in the case?

Tractors of that era were all cast pistons. ATF and paint thinner. Half and half is best formula.

In my experience using vinegar to de-rust parts, it will very efficiently remove rust from steel but NOT cast iron. I'm not sure why? I have always used a light penetrating type of oil to try to free up stuck engines.
