Default B&S F H Fired UP

Hi
Any one know the basic carb adjustments for the F H

what is it bottom out the needle jet then two full turns out.
what about the little governor screw I cant obtain a good idle

You bottom the mixture needle and then turn it out 1 to 1 and a half turns. When it comes to the FH carbs they are very sencitive. You adjust your engine speed by lifting or lowering the governor spring clip which is hooked to the bronze governor spring which connects to the throttle plate to the carb.

Don't want to change the subject but what was the problem with the mag, I guess you were'nt getting any spark.

the wire that goes from the mag to the points was broken. I had to cut back some of the insulation from the coil and I got about 3/4 inch of wire exposed, connected a new wire I wound electrical tape around the coil where I had implanted the new wire. Then I had a condenser from my 55 oldsmobile I put it on there. I put it all back together. And I had abright blue lightning bolt spark
