Default Van Horn Auction

OK, everyone's back from the long, 4th of July weekend. Does anyone have more results from the Van Horn Auction? Would like to know what the gas engines went for...especially the CHASE, SCMIDTT'S CHILLED, DAN PATCH & DAZZLE PATCH. THANKS!!!

Default van Horn Auction

HOT! HOT! HOT! the Schmitt chilled went for $1250,Dazzle Patch $2000, Dan patch $825, I didn't stay for the Chase as it was the last engine offered and I was there for 2 days and I'd had it with the heat ( 99degrees both days )Over all some of the engines were patched up and not as pristine as you might have imagined. Many had been cobbled. Most engines went for up tight retail prices --in my opinion.

Default IHC Highwheeler

I do not know what it went for,but if you want to see some go to Penfield this weekend. At this years Red Power Round UP there will be 12 IH highwheelers and maybe one or two J 30 tourihg cars. I had 6 highwheelers at the Roundup in Sandwich in 2000. and Tom Maudin has been working very hard to get as many as we can together. He might have more than 12,and also a roadster. See you in Penfield. Bob in IL.

Keep checking Nixon Auction web site they generally post as sold prices after their auctions. It was definately hot both days. Mr. Van Horm was a great host. They had deputy sheriff check each load out the gate. I would appreciate name and address of new owner of the Chase engine.
