Default Greetings from Oregon

While I've been working on or with small engines for almost twenty years professionally, first as a yard guy in the rental industry, then as the tech at a warehouse distributor and now as the parts guy at a service center, I'm a newbie to antique engine rebuilding. Bought a 5S from the service manager where I work for 10 bucks, which ran when I got it home and gassed and oiled it up. So I replaced the points and condenser and de-carboned the head after seeing that the valve faces and seat were in great shape and the clearances were right on. Had to do some head scratching to find the right governor link and spring, which were missing. Then I prepped it and painted it shiny gloss black and put on decals I found on ebay. Thing is just the purtiest little engine you ever saw now. I'll try to get some pics up later.
