Default New old guy from Crawford, Tx.

Hi folks, mostly I like old stuff but I am not a real hit and miss guy but my friend is and he is too old to deal with the internet or rather thinks life is too short to wait on crummy internet providers and is completely happy using me and his wife to do his searching. i actually mess with old 4x4's and other cars but I go to the temple tractor show and a local spring startup that is really nice. Lots of good helpful folks at both places. i do have a 1958 65 massey and a 49 vac case though and use both a lot. The massey is really to pretty to use but thats why I have it so I just try to be careful with it.

I thought I would register here to see if it would help when I'm looking for wierd stuff for me and my friend. He probably has 15- 20 working old tractors and one old small cat track loader and uses all of them. He has lots of hit and miss motors and is always trying to get another one running.

He currently is trying to get a Le Roi single cylinder motor put together but it had only water inside the case for a long time. The piston will come out in pieces it seems. It has a 3.5 x 4.5 bore and stroke. What forum can I put a thread in to see who knows what about parts for this motor please. I looked at the index but didn't really find a good spot to post. I use a few other forums and I know the search feature is only as good as the person using it so I thought I would ask first here.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too all
Charliew

Hello and welcome to the stak. I would try putting my questions on the antique engine discussion thread first. Be sure to include any information you have on the engine, and pictures can help if you can. Bill K
