Default Cylinder repairs

A few months ago there was a discussion on how to repair a badly scored cylinder. Someone indicated that JB Weld might do the job. So I had a 6hp Fairbanks-Morse that the wrist pen had come loose and put two large deep grooves in each side of the cylinder. I could not get enough compression to get it to start, so I thought I had nothing to loose. I gave it a try. The engine has lots of compression and runs & starts great. I think maybe it will work OK.
