Greetings to all. A quick question..
Anyone know of a beginners text book for small engines?
I bought a Briggs shop manual but it is written for a mechanic.
Thanks. Rankin

Welcome to the stak. I am a mechinic so I would have a hard time deciding if a book would work for someone who is not. Some of the origional books on the flywheel engines were written for the people who would buy them. Try some of the early reprints. Bill K

Welcome to the Stak neighbor, I am just up the road near Pilot Mtn. I can't help you much with your question, but I'm sure if you get on some of the engine forums someone will give you some good advice. I stick to the hit & miss, and throttle governed flywheel engines. Hal

check out "small gas engines" from Paul Weissler. It is from 1975, out of print, but used ones are cheap. Many pictures and guides. Over 260 pages. Ebay and Amazon have it for next to nothing.

Hello, I'm new here too, but I've been working on Briggs & Strattons since I was a kid. I'm no master mechanic but but I'll help you all that I can.
