Default Portable P&H arc welder

Hello I just bought this out of a scrap pile. I was told that it burned sticks 5 years ago. Before i got it home tried to look it up with no luck. I think it is a Chrysler Ind straight 6 230ci tag numbers IND 6-211 10345e trying to find out some info on it i saw that other welders also had 110 plugins but none on this one. I would like to know how old it is and if there is a way to get AC power off it. Any help would be great thanks

I have the exact same welder with a pulley on the end for belt drive.
I think all you can get is 90 volts or so DC.

Now THAT is a welder... beautiful! Put it to work!

Are you looking for a backup generator, or did you buy it to weld?

Well, it's definitely drippin' cool. The tin 'wrap' has an art-deco streamliner train look... if it had a set of trolley trucks under it, a guy could use it as his own electric locomotive...

If I had an electric generator, or welder/generator with a similar flathead six, I'd offer a trade... 'cause I could actually USE a welder like that on occasion... but all I got right now, is a four-cyl flathead Hercules on a 208/125Y 15kw generator... ex Civil Defense.

Yep... easy... Egypt it up onto a utility trailer. There's an axle under it, which would make it a little interesting, but nothing that a couple of rails to make a skid.

I like the way you think. Your art-deco look is spot on,i like the suspension springs. I dont know if you could see in the pic the 'P&H ARC WELDER' emboss on the doors, hard to see with the 'patina' ill put up a pic, one of the plate on the motor as well. If you want to come and get her i'm down to a trade, send me a message and we'll talk
