Default DG cletrac starter

What starter was on the DG? I need to find one...one that would fit. Doesn't need to be original. Also are manifolds being made for them? Thanks

I checked my books and while i do not have the DG model listed it appears that most of them seemed to use an autolite MZ style starter so hopefully that helps you out or at least points you in the right direction

For all things Cletrac (parts, advice, sympathy) start with Landis Zimmerman olivercletrac.org (or was it .com and the forum cletrac.org??)...
A Bg-Warner ign catalog does show DG (no years) with Delco dist, gen and starter, but lumps a bunch of models together under starters...

Yeah I had called but they want $400 for a starter. I don't need original. There has to be something out there that would fit. Guess I will just keep lookn. Thanks for the info guys..

Do you know if it has a Hercules engine in it ?

found my old Delco tractor equipment catalog, looks like Cletrac used the Hercules in about all of them so if I know what Herc engine can give you a Delco starter #.

My old catalogs seem to mostly agree came with RXC 45/8x51/4, altho one (of six) listed the RXB 41/2x51/4...
Could also've been repowered during its life; some of these Herc series were made to be drop-in fits for each other...

if you got a fitting but dead starter, just bring it into a good starter shop. They can almost certainly fix it, and likely for a lot less then 400 bucks.
