I've never seen one like that- looks like someone is wishing they had a vertical famous instead of an M. Was at a show one time and some one had an M with a chrome plated block and blue flywheels. Pretty sure that wasn't original either!

That engine belongs to Kerry Morris from Australia. Think the color might have something to do with the engine being shipped there.

Cheers! NICK

This's my latest M in Australian style, incl the extended water hopper.

Hi John

Nice job on the 'red' M type. I am from near Sydney, Australia, and have 1.5HP & 3HP M's both with the extended hoppers. Was this an Australia specific fitting only? Also was the red colour a factory thing, as all M's I have seen in Oz are green?

Someone put up an earlier post calling for details or dimensions for an original 3HP M truck/trolley. I have been awaiting a reply as I am keen to make an original styled trollley also. Any details out there?

Thanks,
Luke from Oz

Luke, sofar I know was it a specific Australian fitting to get more water in the hopper due the temps there. What I have heard about the red color, someone in OZ told me that some engine traders/sellers paint them red for delivery that time.

The dimensions for a truck/trolley that I have are not 100%, but enough to build a truck. I sent them straight to the guy because he asked me for it by e-mail. If you want them let me know off list.

Glad you like the red "devil"

Doing my best with what is on hand...this is what I have so far for a cart for my 6hp M. wheels are 4" too large, but, I think it will look more or less ok, and will be at the VERY least easier to move around!!
