That's pretty cool. Why is it that whenever someone sees one of these engines they ask "what can you use that for"? Some people just don't get it. Have fun with your new toy.

Tom---I know for a fact that if you drop an empty Sprite bottle neck first down the exhaust pipe of the Associated it will launch it about 100 feet!! My Grandson and I spent much time researching this---Ted

Tom

Guess your not the only one that been getting some new toys to play with.
Now the weather starting to get better... I got in the mood to go get some of my new toys homes.(all engines are still field fresh) I got in Four 15Hp Reids ( two on skids) Two 20hp South Penn Special's and a Small Oil City half-breed
{The Reid's on skids just over 9 feet wide.}

Now time to go get the rest of my engines home ( after a short break)

The one in the middle is a 6 1/2HP United super sweet runner, there is also a 10HP Superior on the trailer under the blue tarp also

I have been told that if that United has an Associated tag on it that automaticly makes it an Associated engine!!!

lol Hi Randy, the 8HP Reid keeps getting pushed down the priority list of engines to work on. Just finished up this 8HP Badger

Went to a Farm auction yesterday at Humbird... Lots of Junk... Brought home this 8 PH F&J according to the auction bill.... Except for some artwork on the head, Muffler MIA and being on the cart backwards seems in pretty good shape... All is free and has compression.... Who says the Farm Fresh engines are all gone... While not on Parr with the Christiansons or Moguls I still like the F&J engines.

Well.... This afternoon after the rain quit I cleaned out some oil holes and grease cups and added a temporary gas tank, A muffler, and a battery and coil and after a little igniter/timing adjustment she took off.... Was kinda balky at first as crud kept getting between the points. It's suposed to look like the engine below which is my 9 HP K which shares many of the same parts. The 8 HP N is hit and miss and the 9 K is TG. Should make a nice pair.... Or maybe.... I could say it's the same one and I just work Fast...
