Default Fairbanks magneto

Can anyone tell me the difference between a fmx1b2c and a fmx1b2d ? I have a zc 208 engine that takes the 2c but have another that needs a mag and didnt know if the 2d would work?

Bud, the X1B2C is a clockwise mag and will fit the 118 and 208 only. The X1B2D is a counterclockwise mag and will fit the 346, 503, and 739. So to answer you question, they will not interchange.
