Question Gasket help?

I have reciently restored a Fuller Johnson model N 1 1/2 engine. I need to replace the head gasket. The one that was on it looks to have been hand cut from a piece of Mr. Gasket exhaust gasket. What type of material should I use as I do not want to suffer from burn outs. If ther is a place that I can purchase the pre-cut gasket for this engine I would be interested in knowing this as well. Help!

do not know where you could get the gaskets...would it be possible to get a sheet of soft copper and and cut your own gasket?

just an idea
