Default IHC M Help

Hi, I am new to the board. I have been collecting engines and tractors now for about 20 years. I am a big IHC man.....I need some help....I need to know if the igniter for the 1-1/2 is the same size for the 3 hp and the 6 hp? I have one engine of each size and I need a igniter for my 6 hp and I have two spair ones for the 1-1/2 and was hoping they would fit....thanks for your time and cooperation on this matter.

Chad, Why couldn't you just try one of the extra ignitors on the bigger engines and see if it will fit either of them? Joe Morris

Thanks for everything....I never thought about just trying one in the hole. I guess why I never thought about that is that part of the igniter is still in the head of my 6 hp. It was broken off in it and I still am not able to get it out...

The ign.s are the same for the 1 1/2,3.and 6hp sizes.Good luck on getting the old broke 1 out. There's alot of area to rust together on an M ign. Some heat might do the trick. If the flange is gone and theres nothing left to grab mayben a trip to a vert mill and mill to pc out is the way to go.Rob

Mr. Rob, Thanks for the info,,,I am glad to know that it will work on any size motor....I did brake the ears off the one in the 6 hp head...I got a friend that got a mill so I might see if he can get it out for me...Also does anyone know if the carbs on the 1-1/2 hp will fit the 3 hp engines? also can anyone give me a heads out on how to get a stuck piston out? I have been soaking it with all kinds of different stuff for about a month now and I can not get it to move an inch....thanks for you'll time and cooperation on these matters..Chad
