Default mounting engines on carts

i am in the process of rebuilding a larger galloway cart, with the plan to put a 6hp sparta economy engine on it.my question is what is the correct way to mount it on the cart?do i bolt it directly to the angle irons that make up the frame?or do i mount the engine to wood and then the frame?it seems i have seen them both ways!thanks jim(and thank you HARRY)
