Default help !!!!! what is it??

guys i need some info on something i have found

i have found what appears to be a hit & miss engine on an abandoned lot in my town, its in a fenced in area and i cant get very close.

it has a flywheel on one side and a pulley on the other, it appears to have a oiler on it and some kind of breather.. the name on it is gardner-denver
any takers on what it may be, before i start looking for the owner of the land.

thanks guys ,, mike

Sounds to me like an old air compressor. Where I used to work, we had compressors made by Gardner-Denver. Don't know if they made anything else.

They're still in buisness. They make steam driven pumps also.
