I just picked up this little New Way engine last night and it is different from the others that I have. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: Info wanted on a New Way Engine

Tom,
Looks like a Little Giant pumping outfit ... 15" flywheel, usually run ccw. My jack was quite worn requiring new shafts. Be careful removing shaft as there is a hidden round key securing shaft to large gear. Apparently steel shaft with round cross hole assembled into mold & gear & key(pin) poured as one unit. Shaft has to be drilled axially & bored out. Don't try pressing out! You don't see them very often on that base. My serial # is 713. Try to eliminate all side play in crankshaft ... makes governor more reliable. A previous owner added a collar to gear side to eliminate the side play on mine.
