Default Deyo Macey? Massey? How to tell?

I finally got around to getting some pictures of our Type 1 Massey. Where do i look to find the serial numbers. The crank guard is missing, and i couldnt see the serial number anywhere. Can anyone tell me what size or what make it is

THanks
Mike

Mike,
Looks like a 3 hp M-H. Your part numbers will have AA on them and I'm sure a closer look will find you a couple of little <M-H> symbols. The serial number is stamped on the end of the crankshaft (like the Waterloo Boys) and also on top of the base behind the oiler hole. If your number starts with a "P" it is a 3 hp. Later....

Andrew....

I looked again and found no serial numbers.

Im sure it is larger than a 3HP because the flywheels are around 33 inches in diameter and the bore is around 6 inches

Thanks again Andrew

Mike
