Question Associated Air Cooled

Found a gentleman that has a 2 HP Associated in very good original shape. No c/b/w, has magneto, on original trucks, and runs good. He's asking $1600 for it. Does that sound reasonable? It's the most original one I have seen with gas tank and everything. Thanks.

Tom, The engine on original cart with gas tank is worth around 800.00 to 1,000 dollars around here.

the going price now is about $1200-1300 in ohio.you know what your only talking about a couple $100s if you really like it, buy it,3-5 years from now they might bring $1800-2200 or more.i know i have bought engines that i really liked that at the time seemed over priced.years latter i'm glad i bought them.sometimes you only get one chance to buy a very nice org. engine.go for it .-chuck
