Question please identify

can someone tell me anything about a pump like this, it was found at a 1907 flour mill, that used to be powered by about a 100hp corliss steam engine of and unknow make this doesn't look like it could feed a boiler so is it just for pumping tap water or for fire fighting?? must be about a 2.5 inch bore and 3 inch stroke, the stroke is adjustable. not name or nameplate that i could see
