Welcome aboard.

Sounds like you're off to a good start there.... Most people can't stop with just one.

heh!
M1 garand?, that's what my grandfather used to hunt down koreans during the korean war, 1951 to 1954, USMC, artillery forward observer, calling the howitzer steel rain onto...., that gun saved his butt many times, very good gun,
you got a good start with your bean, and cushmen engines, glad you joined the stak, any q.s please asks there are lots that have the bean and cushmen engine here,
best regards,
trowel

there are manuals tor sale on ebay for alot of different engines. also here on the stak some one might know where you can down load one. as far as the paint do not get in much ot a hurry. clean it first to save as much paint as posible. then wipe it down with automatic transmission fluid and see how looks as an original paint. you might like it that way, and once you take off original paint, it can never be original again. Welcome young-un my first one was a cushman now I've got14 or so cushman engines of different sorts. Im pretty sure I have a manual for a 4 hp cub other wise hit and miss will have one, I will look for it and let you know, post any problems or questions some one can answer them. As for paint color they seem like they came out as a varity of them almost as if it was what ever color was in the paint pot that day I 've seen them green gray orange red blue and black. Keith

I just registered today and started looking for info on the Cushman C 4HP engine colors etc. Is the grey green or some thing near avaiable? My engine is dated Nov 1911, and the only paint was in greasy corners. It has now been soda blasted and awaits teardown for painting. I have found several places that have 4 hp Cub manuals but never found any for the upright engine. Bob

Bob I have a manual for the 4c and I also found one for the cub, youngin I can send copies if you want them, or you can puchase nicer ones from hit and miss enterprises they have made a lot of parts and reworked a lot of assembleies for me they do a great job. Look up some old threads on corols her on the site you'll get a lot of answers and some dupont color codes that may help. All my engines are the color I got them I just make start and run the way they are suppose to (most of the time). keith
