1/2 horse “G” carb Maytag

I had some free time so I thought I would take the time to build skids and a battery box for a Maytag I acquired this past summer. I would like to thank my buddy turbo for figuring out what has to be the most complicated carb of the time. With his knowledge and help the engine runs very well. :O

Kevin, the flywheel is not original to this engine, I can look when I get a chance but it is way to high of a number to be original. Thanks.

Nice woodwork as usual Tony! Yes the engine runs very well. That G carb is the most rube Goldberg device I have seen! Very complicated and lots of failure points. I can see why they were short lived. The lonely Maytag repair man add campaign definitely did not start with the upright engines. :bonk:
