Central States Threshermens Steam School

The Central States Threshermens will again be hosting the 20th annual Pontiac Steam School June 6th and 7th 2020 at the Threshermens Park in Pontiac, IL.

Steam school is designed for beginning and intermediate engineers.
The emphasis is on safe engine operation.

Morning schedule is classroom presentations and include:
Properties of steam, Boiler Basics, Running the Engine, Lubrication, Injector Operation, Boiler Maintenance, Boiler Restoration, Piping-Valves- Pumps, Miscellaneous Topics, Real Life Scenarios, and Emergency Procedures.

Afternoon sessions are hands on firing and running of engines.

Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings
Registration fee $60.00. Includes camping, coffee and donuts, and lunch both days (2nd person in the family - $50.00)

Registration is open to first fifty entries

Proper attire is essential for firing-up the engines
