Can you use a headlight that was used in a 6 volt system on a 12 volt system? I don't know much about electrical stuff.

Only if you want to keep buying 6 volt bulbs !!! You could hook two 6 volt bulbs in series ( in one and out of to the next one) and then it will work. If one of the bulbs burns out, the next one will not light. Hope this helps.

You can buy 12 Volt bulbs for Most of the older lights. If it's a sealed beam they can also be replaced with 12 volt ones...

Tanner:

You can get a big porcelain resistor to drop the voltage to the lights but but you will have to adjust it so the voltage at the lights is correct.

Also, if one light burns out, there will be too much voltage across the rest of them and they will soon blow, too.

I'd go for just swapping to 12 volt lights.

Take care - Elden:wave:
