Well Jim’s small engine repair rebuilt this carb and i found a oil bath air cleaner I don’t think is a brigs but it will work but there’s play in the elbow ! How can I correct this easily and no I don’t have a machine shop vid of problem here if I can get it here !

Having trouble with elbow on carb that attaches to air cleaner I can’t post picture for some reason it won’t let me but this aluminum elbow attaches to carb with two screws in bottom how can I stop the play where it slips over carb ? This is a 6 S Briggs

Once they get a little age on them, they kinda flop a bit. I have the same issue on my Model 8. It's just pot metal. Maybe try slipping it over a couple of thin o-rings before bolting it back together.

Fixed the elbow two wraps of electrical tape then slid elbow on righted it and it’s ok we’ll see if fuel and heat affects it !!
