Just received a call from the Queensland Heritage Rally advising the following;
"Under present circumstances the QHR to be held on July 23rd-26th 2020 at this stage will be going ahead, but, could be cancelled or postponed.
The Committee will be holding discussions in the first week of May where a decision will be made regarding this event.
Should this event be cancelled, any fees or monies already paid will be refunded.

Further information can/will be found on website: www.qldheritagerally.com.au"

Adding further, several clubs will be discussing and making a decision of their up-coming event this week.

Hello all
It looks as though the kibosh has been put on pretty well all rallies at the moment seeing there's a ban on gatherings with more then 500 people.
The real sad thing is the inconsistency within the ban. 500 people cramped in a school or shopping centre or picture theater or high rise office block is OK but 500 people in an open paddock is banned.
Cheers then from sad Scott

Yep there are some double standards happening and all because they have not had to deal with something this size before I guess.
Close the schools and the little buggas go to the shopping centres, that makes sense.
Get off a plane from O/S and you must self isolate but you can travel via public transport to go home.
You self isolate and then you can't go shopping to feed yourself for 14 days and today Woolies cancelled home deliveries so you cant order online.
Our PM this morning mentioned that he will not be having a meeting face to face with some O.S dignatory and will be doing it online and then using a digital signature to confirm the deal. Now this to me is a giant step forwad and has set the precident to no longer go on jumkets O/S, make a phone cal do some FaceAche time and give them the thumbs up to seal the deals. Imagine how much money this will save the country.
While I.m up on the soap box and that the drought is almost over here in this district and all water restrictions have been lifted, people will notice how much less water they have consumed and then the rate notice will reflect the savings and they may well keep up the practise. This will hurt the Water Companies beyond belief and will cause them to want to put the price up per litre.
End O Bitching Session, sorry.

My youngest boy’s school made everyone move desks 1 mt apart in the class rooms , and then between classes everyone is packed like sardines at the lockers where they can hardly move.

How do you stay 1m apart in an elevator, bus, train, plane, ferry, any food court in a shopping centre, church on a Sunday or doctor's surgery (now-a-days)? Lucky we only have 2 elevators in town I'd hate to work in the city and walk up 132 flights of stairs instead of using the elevator with 45 other coughing, spluttering, stinky sardines. I wonder if McDonalds will have separation police? Taxi's are buggered...unless a maxi-taxi and your sitting in the left rear corner like your Globite. This is yet another Government policy that hasn't been thought out to any degree. I reckon it's all to try and keep some alarmists (aka voters) happy, or more importantly not making them unhappy. That might mean losing a vote.
How's the NRL going to adopt the metre apart rule? Nobody can watch in the stands but 26 blokes can get all up close and hold each other. Makes sense. Where's the Warriors at the moment? How do they fly in and stay in quarantine for 14 days? What about Warriors home games? So many questions......
QLD local Government elections are this week-end or next (can't remember). Should they be postponed due to possibility of more then 500 people in one spot? If the metre apart recommendation is adhered to, how long will the lines be? At least running the gauntlet outside will be easy. Just sneeze.

Mrs Scotty has to go to the Doctors today in Brisbane to get some test results back. She cannot talk to the GP on the phone because he isn't a specialist. Figure that one out. If he was a specialist, who doesn't see that many people, a yabba on the phone is OK but with a busy GP you have to front up and sit in the waiting room full of sick people so the GP can read some stuff to you from a letter. How would you like to be a health worker now?

I'm just p!ssed because Dalby running engine record attempt will probably be called off. Not happy Jan.

Oi Cobba. Do you reckon there'll be people counting at clearing sales now? Your number 499....that's it folks. No more people. Might be some bargains to be had huh?

Hey guys' isn't it good to see Scotty2 in good voice again , even without "Winchesters" help . keep it up Scotty2 , most of us
(I feel) agree with you though re those Pollie's putting all those restrictions on us. I suppose even MY Clubs Junction Rally might get cancelled as well, that will be sad as it was already cancelled last year and is a 3 yearly event. OH, Scotty2 , please let some of that rain go down the Darling, we need it down here in Wentworth, our drought is far from over down here. Cheers, John
