David good job on describing this unit and that is a greet looking engine that Hit & Miss has. I have a 3 hp and a 1 1/2 hp light plant. I haven,t shown the 3 for a few years but its a great runner now that the timing right, its a heavy outfit. The 1 1/2 was a basket case and has been set aside for a number of years while collecting parts. As for as color what I,ve seen have been mostly the normal Fairbanks Morse green, but have seen some with some parts painted black. If you can,t find the plunger for your engine I can send you dimension for it. Do you have the push rod? I have a few spare parts for these engines. John

Hey Guys, im still working on small things with the engine.
im trying to degrease the thing so that i can paint it if i get it running.
