I just received a letter with some changes for this fall. Displayers will leaver 5 ft between any of your stuff and the edge of your space.

That means there will be 10 ft between displays. That will be a different look. I wonder where they will put everyone.

We need to sign up early. If you show up and are not a member you need to pay the gate fee in order to get in and become a member. (We must be members in order to display.) and the gate fee is non refundable.

Sounds like NYS finally decided to crack down on the camping arrangements there. I had been wondering when that would happen. Canandaigua (Pageant of Steam) has had to deal with the same for a couple of years now.

Its a fire code law that got passed. Has to be 10 feet between campsites so that if somebody does have their stuff catch on fire, the gap helps slow the spread and provides space for firefighters to work in order to contain it.

Was under the impression that rule only applied to campsites? Or is that applying to all canopies and tents, since the state is treating them as if they were also campsites.

Good Lord,if they passed a rule like that around here, half the campgrounds would be gone as they would loose to much space.

I am not a insider at Alexander, just a member. The letter I received said the displayers are considered campers.

My favorite shows don’t have RVs or vehicles in the display area. You can see more, and walk less. I realize that many feel strongly the other way.
