Kohler 6.5 KW, L600, correct wiring for Sisson choke?

Kenny Crenshaw

Got my L600 running after an expensive infusion of parts. Now I am trying to figure out what two remaining wires are supposed to do. They seem to be the right length to hook to the electric choke, but one wire is hot all of the time, and the other wire engages the starter when you touch it to ground. I am thinking that the wire that should connect to the choke would not be hot until you engaged the starter.

Any help would be appreciated.
